1st Month with Milo

The first month with our little Milo has been incredible. I wish I could bottle the feeling when he is asleep on top of you with his tiny hand resting over your heart. Or, when he is completely content sitting in the crook of your arm with the top of his head tucked under your chin, looking around, taking it all in.

At a BBQ this summer, I met a cop who was there with his wife and 5 year old daughter. Upon hearing that we were expecting, he gave me the best advice I would hear.

“Cherish the moments when they are tiny and asleep on your chest, it goes by way too quick”.

There is no way to freeze time. There is no way to completely preserve these feelings, not to mention the smell. My goodness…there is no better scent on earth than that of a newborn. All we can do is follow that incredible advice and cherish this time…I know it will pass well before we are ready…
