Sunday evening BBQ
Ronnie and Anne have proven themselves in the art of Sangria and the science of burgers, corn and potatoes. Jess has nearly perfected the technique of pouring up a fresh glass of Sangria. My only feedback would be to not unscrew the spout all the way so that the Sangria shoots horizontally out of the tank….unless of course this is the effect you’re going for.
Thanks you two for a great dinner! Next time I will take the tin foil off the corn before eating it…

Breakfast with Sis'
My sister, Amy, happened to be in Colorado this weekend visiting her very good friend, Sarah, in Fort Collins. Sarah is doing conservation education here in Colorado after working with Pandas in China for the past 10 years. I imagine that like trying to follow Adam Lambert on American Idol….anything else is going to be disappointing….sorry Anoop. We went to Turley’s which is kind of like an organic version of Denny’s. It was great have breakfast with family on a random Sunday morning. I’ll get to see even more of Amy with husband Alan in late June…I can’t wait!

Biking Walker Ranch
After landscaping all morning around Wild Sage, I finally got out for a bit of play time with Hersch and Lanny. This was my third time on the mountain bike this Spring and my first trip this year to Walker Ranch. I love getting out at this time of year before the hillsides turn brown for summer. Right now the grass is green and the rivers are running wide open.
Hersch get the prize of the day for biking through a stomach bug. He was doubled over his bike after the first hill, but pushed through all of the hikes, climbs and screaming downhills. By the end of the ride he was actually feeling better.

This weekend I also came across this video of UK-based trials rider Danny MacAskill. Watch this video with your speakers turned up a bit. Everything about it is beautiful….
Evening Hike at Boulder Ranch
The warm weather and late day sunshine has afforded us the opportunity to get out for more weekday hiking. I love this time of year where the flowers are just beginning to poke out their Spring color.

Looks like Spring
Jess and I went for a great hike this past weekend right here in Boulder. The April showers are quickly making way for the May flowers, but its the June flowers that I’m most excited about. The dogs enjoyed there time on the hike and have agreed that they would both do it again if push came to shove.

Red Bull Rampage
Downtown Boulder was without strip clubs for years. However, recently one slipped under the radar of the city council by only serving soda and thereby not having to apply for a liquor license. So, it was only a matter of time before the Boulder Theater started showing porn. This one got through disguised as a bike film though…Jess and I were there to witness. The night started with old school freestyle bike stunts that I only dreamed of doing on my Schwin Predator freestyle bike. Sadly, both the bike and I were way too heavy. After the live performance, the Rampage started. It was an hour and a half of absolute insanity. It was one guy after another saying, “Oh, that cliff? Yeah, I’ll try it”. Gnarly dude…

Here is a glimpse of the insanity…
