Easy Like Sunday Morning
‘Tis the season…i know…it is no time to test your love. But, I think this is a good test. If I told you that I was watching the CMT Crossroads with Kenny Rogers and Lionel Richie, would you just sit there? Or, would you hop a silver bullet train and run it right through my door in hopes of knocking my wheepy-eyed sing-a-long with ‘Lady’ ass off the couch. I hope to all that is Holy that you are sitting on that train, drink in hand, ready to knock me over…because if ‘Daytime Friends and Nighttime Lovers’ comes on…its over for me….hell, if I make it through ‘She Believes In Me’, it’ll be a miracle.
Maybe it is the blinding contrast of this and the show that I was at earlier tonight. Meredith Bragg rocked the Kennedy Center once again. I can’t say enough about Meredith’s music. If you have an hour, or just ten minutes…please watch some of the performance online. The great thing about the Kennedy Center is that they broadcast all of the shows live over the internet and then archive them for you to enjoy as long as their are IP packets and wireless routers.
Happy Thanksgiving
I am at perfect equilibrium. I have finally achieved a perfect body composition of 2 part water, 2 parts blood, 2 parts turkey, 2 parts sweet potato casserole, and 4 parts light-bodied beer. I could not have done this without the 36 pounds of fried turkey in the refrigerator. I may have exaggerated when I said ‘perfect body equilibrium’, but I may no exaggeration of the amount of turkey in our fridge. It is ridiculous. I have stopped being surprised when I blow my nose and a cranberry comes out…its just part of the game.
