A 12 year old with an American Express card
So I’ve decided to take up skateboarding. Its like I’m living one of those movies where you wake up one day and your 12 years old again…only this go around you’re not quite as flexible, you have more than 2 friend with mustaches, and you have a mortgage.
It all started with the purchase of the VewDoo Balance Board. I stopped into the Ski Chalet in Arlington last weekend to check them out and low and behold…30% off all VewDo boards. It is basically a piece of wood that lays across a wooden peg, but it is so much fun. So, I’m going to buy a skateboard this week and Nat and I are going to go thrash it up next weekend at the local skate park.
Dave Bennett was also in town this weekend. We finally got to catch up on some unplayed games of Backgammon. This is my other new passion. If anyone out there enjoys the game, let me know and we’ll set up some time to play.
Oh yeah…I also got a promotion at work. Our Level II Senior Consultant has grown up into a Level III Associate. I’ve worked very hard to get this, so I’m pretty proud that it finally happened. I guess I’m all grown up now…it might be time to grow that mustache.
The Sauna Effect
When faced with two roads, I took the one that had a sauna at the end of it. Today after physical therapy, I was getting ready to take a shower at the gym when I noticed a sauna in the shower room. Normally I would be in somewhat of a hurry to get to the office, but today I decided to take 15 extra minutes and relax in the sauna. I highly recommend it. I’m pretty sure it will now become part of my daily routine. There is something about sitting in a hot room made of cedar that just takes the edge off of the day.
